July 25 · I love playing my ManaCaster made by my friend Paul Suppo in Kona, Hawai’i, using 300 year old reclaimed wood from the Mokuaikaua Church.
Colin and I worked together to bring the histories of Hawaii to this instrument. All wood is from the historic Mokuaikaua Church in the heart of Kailua-Kona.
The body is from the bell tower while the fretboard is koa from the interior. We came across this wood as salvage from the 2019-2020 remodel effort.
