Need I say more? COVID has been on everyone’s mind for going on a year now. I am not going to get into the debate of if it is real, fake, man-made or whatnot.

The fact is COVID has hurt us all. You come to Kona now and Ali’i Dr. is full of empty stores. The homeless have moved in and the shopkeepers have moved out.

Restaurants are gone, t-shirt stores are gone… it’s almost a ghost town. However, we are opening back up. We see a different town than maybe the last time you were here.

What does that mean for Barefoot Guitars?

We have removed our guitars from the walls of some music stores to allow them more room and allow us to lower our prices. We have put a halt on making guitars as speculation for the most part until we can sell our current inventory. However, that does not mean that we have stopped making guitars altogether. Custom guitars and guitar repairs is what we do. Keeping small and keeping our overhead at a minimum allows us to continue to thrive.

We are able to keep up with our work and we keep busy… it is a nice balance.

We now offer a sound lounge to meet and talk about your project, pickup and play some of our guitars and maybe even take one home with you.

Aloha and Mahalo for your continued support.
